Job summary: The main function
of this position is to greet each guest in a pleasing manner, if need be help
them prepare for their service eg: filling out massage forms. Practice client
confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Greet all the guests in a
friendly and pleasing manner. Perform all aspects of the Registered Massage
therapist position in a professional, proficient and timely fashion keeping in
mind the needs of the guests and the atmosphere of the Spa.
Accountabilities: The Massage Therapist is directly responsible
for performing massage therapy manually with hands, stones, the hydrotherm
system, hot towels and products. Also to
perform body treatments upon request.
Responsible for turning over the room and maintaining a clean and safe
environment. Giving tours of the Spa and
helping other employees and guests whenever possible. All massages are performed in a professional
manner. The therapist uses proper body
mechanics throughout the massage to eliminate the chances of undue fatigue or
injury as taught in school. The clients
and therapists boundaries and comfort levels are maintained, never working
beyond the guests pain tolerance. All
other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATION
STANDARDS
Education & Experience:
-Massage Therapy Certification (Diploma)
- Experience an asset.

-As required
Physical Requirements:
-Long hours sometimes required
-Prevent injury/undue fatigue by using
proper body mechanics
